Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good solid lock Excellent lock. Yes sometimes you need to jiggle it to lock is on but I've found no major problem with this. Would recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good lock used the lock for about 5 months and got it jammed. happened to me in the Ealing- London, just 50m from Halfords shop. I broke one key when opening, then a guy from Halfords got a bit of WD40. After a few minutes I managed to open it, just before calling Locksmith to cut me free. Great attitude of both guys in the shop, helped me and changed lock immediatelly without a word. Otherwise I used the lock daily, never had problems and felt that my bike is secured. Also using a loop for front wheel (insurance reason). Lock is quite heavy, but still does the job.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from How to open in the first place? Picked up my bike today and the lock had been attached to the frame etc. Got home, cant work out how to open it? Cant even find where to put the key? Literally havent got a clue. Totally confused. Wouldnt buy. Looks the part. Probably plays the part if you can get it working too

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Great Quality Mechanism The Key is often difficult to turn due to the mechanism jamming. Also it's difficult to get the end piece on/off as that too jams on the ends of the U shape bar. Add the two issues together and the fact that you are often using the lock whilst contorted over your bike and it makes this lock very difficult to attach/detach. The metal U of the lock seems pretty solid and the lock seems secure once on, but usability-wise this is not a great lock.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems Solid I just got this lock yesterday and although i haven't had a great chance to try it out, it still feels really solid, sturdy lock with 13 mm hardened steel. I got a loop with it too so that i can secure my wheels too. I ve seen that it doesn;t get great reviews or many stars which isn't that reassuring but i ve had no problems with keys yet. Easy to open and close. I do keep my bike inside at home and inside at work where it willl be left unattended for a long time. I m using the halfors half shackle d-lock too at the same time. After my bike got stolen i m really security conscious !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy deterrent Quite a heavy lock, impossible to overlook. Seems quite safe and I hope it will serve well. Many people say they have had problems with locking and unlocking it and, well, I did have the same problem myself. However, I found out later all you need to do when locking it, is to correctly put it together by using a little flounce. Then everything fits well and its pretty easy and smooth to lock it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save up for an Abus! This is a meaty lock and shackle. Its very heavy about 1.5kg without the holder - and that's how you're gonna use it - because. as stated by a previous reviewer, the plastic holder is utterly pathetic and far too flimsy to support this heft. I couldn't find anywhere at all on my Zesty to fit the holder, which is just as well as I reckon it would snap at the first bump you hit. So I've had to resort to hanging it over my bars. Likewise it has been said before that it jams. It jammed on me once. It seems that if you don't insert the key all the way in it is possible to rotate the outer engagement rings so the whole lock is out of true. That said, I've used it for 2 years and not had even an attempted theft. Maybe the weight of the thing makes casual thieves look at an easier target parked next to yours. I don't live in a high crime inner city area. So who knows. I just cannot for the life of me see the point in having such a heavy lock if you cannot secure it to the bike. Save your money and put it towards an Abus lock. Any Abus lock.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken I've only had it a few weeks and spent 5 minutes this morning trying to unlock it. I can no longer trust the thing as next time I might not get it off at all. So am throwing it away. Pretty rubbish for the money.
