    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buy earplugs! I hope this lock is more secure than it sounds whilst being held in the bracket. The actual barrel of the lock rattles like a bag of nails, although this does mean you don't need to use a bell. The whole town can hear you coming before you're in sight. The light on the key is good and useful, especially being blue...it helps contrast the red face if you are embarrassed by people stopping to look around for who is making that awful noise.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid This lock feels solid and secure. Weight is a sacrifice. A little difficult to carry on the bike frame due to it's size. But that wasn't a primary consideration in buying this lock.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reassuringly heavy This is a heavy lock (luckily it fits neatly on the rear carrier when I'm cycling) but feels reassuringly tough. It is easy to use, once you realise you need to keep hold of both parts when unlocking. I like the way the key stays in when unlocking/removing the bar. The plastic cover which slides across the key hole is a good idea.

Would recommend it to anyone. Only thing I would say is it's very heavy but I would take it out on my bike bit use it at home.

Easily fits through my wheel and disc brake, nice bright locking mechanism, so very visible to potential thieves, and all feels solid and secure. The heaviness adds to the feeling of security and strength of the U-Lock.

There are cheaper locks on sale but my insurance on my bike stipulated a gold secure lock, which this lock is. Like the bike carry and the three keys that come with the lock. A must for anyone who's spent a lot of money on their bike.
