For a cheap pump it certainly does the job, but why not put some instructions to make it clear you need to unscrew the grey cap, take the rubber out and turn around the yellow adapter in order to change to Presto type. Such a little change would make all the difference. Once you have got that sorted its a good value for money pump for people wanting something basic that does the job.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mini tyre pump Oh the joys of products with little to no instructions...after about 20 attempts to pump up the tyres on my bike, I threw the pump aside and decided I was going to take it back for a refund! The joys of Google...a bit of Googling later and hey presto, I discovered how to use the Halfords mini tyre pump! Unscrew the grey cap, take out the yellow insert (converts pump to either Presta or Schrader valves) and then....inside you will find a rubber insert which you need to take out (whacking pump against your hand in anger gets it out). Put yellow insert back into the pump (depending on which valve you have), followed by rubber seal...(depending on which valve you have) and then screw the grey cap back on. JOB DONE.... Come on Halfords...sort out your instructions for products!

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pump - If you use Common Sense Bought this pump months ago and had it clipped to my road bike - but never had to use it when out and about until recently. First of all - it DOES work on presta valves. You need to change the order of the components. This took me about 10mins to work out while waiting to be rescued. Once I used some common sense, I had it! :) Just needs some patience. Might be worth taking some time to sort it before you go out on the bike.... save some time! ;) Light and handy - definitely recommend!

I think, the most important advantage of this pump is his small size. And it is not a problem anymore to carry it in your backpack. That's why I have already gifted it to my son.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from This does work for Presta valves I saw all these reviews after I had let all the air out of my tyre which has a presta valve. I went back and read the instructions more carefully. This pump DOES work for presta valves you just have to work out the order of the wee components. Great wee pump, good value and can easily be attached to my bike- fantastic :)
