Apollo Cafe Womens Hybrid Bike is rated out of 5 by 20.Rated 1 out of 5 by DN11 from This is the worst bike I've ever had too! I also had a puncture the very first day I rode the bike to work (the green slime seemed to be an expensive gimick). The brake pads have worn out and the mudguard is about to fall off and I only bought the bike this summer. The bike is heavy, cumbersome to handle and slow. Very disappointing and I also won't be shopping in Halfords again.Date published: 2017-10-23Rated 1 out of 5 by AB93 from The worst bike I have ever owned Wish I had looked at the reviews before buying. Puncture after puncture. Firstly it was badly put together in the shop and had a puncture on the very first day. Since then have had several more, at first I thought it was just bad luck but after looking at the reviews I see it is actually a faulty bike. Went in to a Halfords shop and the assistant was absolutely clueless, and said that because I've had it a few months they can't return even if it's faulty. Not only that but the chain guard is broken and parts of the bike are already starting to wear and rust. Now after only a few months I am left with a bike which I can't sell or even donate as it is such a heap of trash. I won't be shopping in Halfords again, that is for sure.Date published: 2017-08-19Rated 1 out of 5 by foreverpunctured from Awful bike Please do not buy this bike. I concur with all the other reviews. It is clunky, heavy and tank-like to ride. It punctures and punctures and punctures. It has a design fault. Numerous other faults which go to make this bike unbearably bad. Don't waste your money on this awful bike.Date published: 2017-08-04Rated 1 out of 5 by SunflowerHill from Appalling Bike - **HEAD OFFICE** this should not be on the market Before we even brought it home the staff had to replace an inner tube for a puncture. Got it home. Sat on it & ANOTHER PUNCTURE. Took it back to shop to be have inner tube replaced at which point we were told it's the design of the spokes that go through the wheel, they then put tape around the inside of the wheel to stop the spokes hitting the tyre. Brought it home & tooknit round the block only to get back & 2 minutes later ANOTHER puncture. Took it back to the shop AGAIN, by which time the other tyre had gone down. That's 4 punctures in ~2 hours & the bike was only used for 10 minutes. Demanded money back & had to pick a different bike. Appalling design. This should be taken off sale. Having read reviews AFTER taking the bike back, this is not the first time people have experienced this puncture problem. Wish I'd have read reviews first, I'd have avoided all the hassle.Date published: 2017-07-02Rated 2 out of 5 by 15254258 from I should have listened to the reviews!! Apollo Cafe Rear wheel puncture after the first ride. The spokes stick out so much and have split the inner tube even though Halfords reassured me its not an issue. All pavements and roads. It was assembled by Halfords. The rear wheel arch nut came loose on the first ride, and kept clanging. I'm sure there is also something wrong with the gears as well, they make a noise!!! Had a basket fitted. Looks like it was screwed on to tight and is splitting. Bike not available when i requested even though i gave 3 days notice!! Wasted a whole Sunday as well. Avoid this bike at all costs.Date published: 2017-06-22Rated 2 out of 5 by Joonie from Not a good bike I wanted a bike to just cycle about 5 miles to work with but this bike did not deliver. I had a puncture 3 days after purchase and had to return it. I just did not want the hassle of puncture tyres constantly!Date published: 2017-06-12Rated 3 out of 5 by Dutiful83 from Apollo Cafe Womens Hybrid Bike -16" Somehow seems quite cumbersome and will be difficult to put on a bike carrier. Looks good and daughter liked the colour - comfortable to ride Very competitive priceDate published: 2017-06-05Rated 1 out of 5 by Hannahsdad66 from Do not buy it, it will puncture !!! This bike will constantly puncture, even with the green "slime" inside the tyres that is supposed to offer "2-years puncture free" riding. I have just come out of a Halfords store and the salesman/technician openly told me that the spokes protrude too far into the inside of the wheel rim and that is what causes the punctures. He even gave me this in writing. He has had to wrap 3 layers of insulation tape around the inside of the rim to try and help me. I am now discussing with Halfords how I can get the bike swapped for a reliable one.Date published: 2017-05-25
