Carrera Subway 2 Hybrid Bike is rated out of 5 by 18.Rated 4 out of 5 by Darszy from Fast and reliable Great bike to ride, good handling and speed. Best bikeI have ridden but thats not to surprising as its the most expensive bike I have ever owned. Amazing on road and even rides well on short grass. I do recommend.Date published: 2017-09-25Rated 4 out of 5 by BigGrahame from Simply Great I found this bicycle to be great, I am an older chap trying to regain some fitness and lose some weight, this bike is great for my needs, my cycling isn't about speed or off road, this bike does not have suspension which would be an unnecessary extra in my case, I can just jump on it and go, in town, in the countryside, anywhere, being overweight (at present) its build quality has to be good, I feel safe and secure while riding it, the braking and gear systems are awesome, the overall robustness gives me the trust that its not going to break on me. So far BrilliantDate published: 2017-07-13Rated 4 out of 5 by CanaryPhil from Only had this bike a day, but so far, pleased. Model subway 2, 22" inch. Very pleased do far, much better than my old Crossfire 1 21" . I'm 6'3"" and this bike if perfect for size. Some reviews says the saddle is hard, but I find it fine. Had the bike built for me with accessories also fitted, just wish they could have just wiped it over, tape marks dust etc. I like the look of the bike apart from bright green ' subway 2 " stickers, for me this spoils it. The weight is ideal and rides a treat, brakes do need bedding in but are much better than I'm used to. The only thing that niggles me are the gear shifters. I find these too small, and you finger rubs against it. Think I will get used to it in time. All in all its a nice bike, a little pricey but compared too others in this price range good value.Date published: 2017-06-23Rated 5 out of 5 by normnod from Absolute bargain!!! Got my bike on the 20% off promotion so it only cost me £280....for that the amount of quality parts on this thing is outstanding! Alloy frame.......................check Clarke hydraulic brakes...check Shimano Altus gears........check Beefy Suntour XTM crank.check Wellgo alloy pedais...........check Kenda Shield tyres............check And odd things, FSA stem, MEGA shifter mounts and funky stealth paint to top it all. Took me a few days to really take in just how much of a bargain this bike is...light and generally comfy it's a 5 star recommendation from me. Note that I had to fit a front mudguard to the rear due to clearance issues with the small frame and the front shifter. Fitted Zefal lock'n'roll security skewers. The only other thing I'm changing are the grips...ODI Rogues are on order.Date published: 2017-06-20Rated 3 out of 5 by jjt88 from Basic bike for Basic Riding If the bike at its retail price of £350 its a 3star bike if on offer below £300 its a 4star bike. I purchased this last week from my local shop for £280. The drive components shimano altus for this money is a bargain as other brands would be around £200.00 more. Im 6ft 3 so got the 22inch frame. The frame itself is ok more old school design if anything the only downside would say doesn't feel high quality but at the price its alright. The brakes being hydraulic are good need decent amount of breaking in to get full use of them as from the start they can be a bit lacking. The level for the brakes i would say are great perfect for 2finger breaking and comfy . I have had couple niggles riding it. the odd knocking noise in middle of the gear range and vibration through the pedals when pedalling fast but in the end its a cheap bike so if youre needing a bike to be used everyday i would say buy a boardman hybrid or similar if its a casual rider then if you dont mind the old school dimensions and the odd niggle then i would say its worth the price.Date published: 2017-06-05Rated 3 out of 5 by RomanL from Okay The product is good dependant on the use. The seat is extremely hard, hurts after a little time. I had to take it back to get the chain adjusted and the front wheel as the break jammed on. The gears change but can mess up often. The ride is extremely fast and the parts are good quality other than the little parts I have previously mentioned. It has NO suspension which this website says it DOES have it. So it's purpose is mostly road, wouldn't recommend for anything close to mountain biking.Date published: 2017-05-21Rated 5 out of 5 by LukasWA5 from I am very happy with this bike Excellent quality for the money, well balanced, lightweight frame, good shifters, nice smooth ride. Also good looking bike. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking tor a good value all rounder.Date published: 2017-05-15Rated 5 out of 5 by Pyranha from Grat all rounder Very good bike. Performs really well on most surfaces. Light and picks up speed really quickly. Would reccomend it.Date published: 2017-05-08
