VooDoo Marasa Hybrid Bike
The VooDoo Marasa Hybrid Bike is the perfect mix of business and fun; it's great for commuting to work as well as getting out and exploring on the weekend. A lightweight aluminium frame and rigid fork helps keep the speed up and the maintenance down, and 27 speed Shimano gearing really shows off how versatile this hybrid is; weaving in and out of traffic or bombing down country lanes is no problem. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes give reassuring stopping power whatever the conditions, and the 700c wheels are wrapped with multi-surface Kenda tyres. The Marasa has a dual personality that suits those who prefer to head home via the road less travelled.

All these years and all I've needed is a decent bike. OK, I need to be in the lowest of the 27 gears, but the Voodoo handles it perfectly. On the road, it's quick and so quiet and sometimes you really feel like you're not peddling. Off road and you realise it's not a mountain bike but on the tarmac, you'd be hard pressed to get a better bike within this price bracket. All round a good bike. It's a very fast bike and handles great. I've replaced the rotors as they are only good for organic pads and the pads needed replacing anyway so I replaced the lot. The wheels are built to a budget so you're not getting high end stuff but they lasted well on the terrible roads around here. I eventually replaced the wheels with some hand built Harry Rowland wheels and the difference is very noticeable. I've fitted a Topeak luggage rack and also a set of full cover mudguards. Yes they both needed a little bit of work to get them to fit but they look great and are rock solid. People laughed when I fitted the mudguards, but I don't get covered in rain and mud so I can ride to work all nice and clean. All in all it's a great bike.
