Bought for my very tall 6 year old to learn to ride a 2 wheeler. I bought this bike for my six year old son as a first bike post stabalisers. The following day after picking the bike up he attended a cycle proficiency course, where the bike had a safety check. The report stated that a number of bolts had not been tightened correctly and he brakes were not working. Upon collecting him I noticed that the bracket holding the brake leaver in place was broken. This I was informed happened by the bike falling off its stand onto a rubberised flooring. We took the bike back to our local Halfords who informed us that we had to purchase a new brake lever as it was not a manufacturing fault. I have since replaced both brake levers and pads with parts purchased NOT from Halfords, and will never purchase another bike from them. I am only keeping this home until my son is stable whilst riding, then it's going in the bin.
