The Carrera Vulcan Men's Mountain Bike is great for attacking your way down the tracks and trails. The Vulcan boasts 27 Speed Shimano Altus gearing to help produce exceptional speed, and has 27.5" wheels with Kenda MTB tyres for great performance and strength over obstacles. The 120mm Suntour front suspension fork with lockout provides comfort on all terrain, and with Hydraulic Disc Brakes you are ensured firm stopping power at all times.

I took it into the local shop and they tried to rectify the problem and sort the squealing coming from the rear disc. I was told that it was going to need a new rear disc, pads etc etc and it would take 5 days ! I do not think so, after expressing that we had only had the bike for 3 days ( a birthday gift that my son that he obviously wants to ride ) and that I was not pleased with this solution, I was told two days. In all fairness, we had lots of brand new bits on the bike including a new back wheel ( brand new bike anyway ) and was told that it was the second Carrera they had in that week with the same problems. Disappointing from Halfords to say the least as they are not the cheapest retailer out there !!! I'll be riding this weekend and will review it then; you can't tell after two laps of the shop and one round the car park. It was ordered from Halfords Glossop who are really helpful and efficient. I still don't know who cancelled the one I ordered from Ashton, via Stockport.. I bought this bike 2 months ago for myself to go off roading with mates and it has been a excellent experience. The bike is strong and the suspension can handle fairly big jumps. The suspension lock is also a amazing feature on the bike for when you are cruising around or not on rough terrain. Overall this bike is brilliant but I don't recommend it for people who do not like to change the brake fluid every few months.
