  • Wiggins Chartres Junior Bike - 20"

Beginning to find their own way on two wheels? The Wiggins Chartres Junior Bike has been specifically designed to make cycling easier as the rides start to get longer. Gears can be tricky to get to grips with, so the Chartres has been equipped with an easy-action Shimano trigger gear shifter for easy shifting, helping to build confidence. Alongside that is an ultra-lightweight double butted aluminium frame, aluminium fork, alloy brakes, and a fully sealed bottom bracket to make pedalling super smooth. If your youngster is of the more thrill-seeking type, more aggressive mountain bike tyres can easily be fitted, making this the perfect 'do anything' bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Bike My 6 year old had out grown his Isla Bike and i needed to replace it. Having had such a good quality bike i wanted something comparable without the high cost. This is an excellent alternative. Good spec light and appears well built. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good learning bike My 6 year old son is again learning how to ride a bike. What makes this one easier to learn on is the lightness of the frame and the ease of braking. After a couple of trips to the park he is almost there!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fab junior bike My son is loving his Wiggins Chartres bike. He is small for his age and has been desperate for a proper junior bike rather than a kiddie bike. It is super lightweight and the gears have been a big hit. We're much faster on the school run now and it was worth the extra expense!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A high quality bike filling a much needed gap. I bought this bike for my 5 year old son. (He is quite big for his age). This was the only bike that had gears and was light it is therefore easy for him to handle. He can get up fairly steep hills with ease. It makes a big difference especially in the area we live. Overall i am delighted with this bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent lightweight bike Excellent bike for six year old upwards. This is really lightweight compared to others on the market and that makes a difference to the small people. Looked at others in price range and some were 4kg heavier! Geometry of this is perfect with a small frame yet 20'' wheels. Tyres, gears and breaks are all good makes which makes this a really good buy. With free assembly and pick up next day! Previously had other lightweight bikes on the market but this seems just as good and a bit cheaper so great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cycle Well built and looks great. Light for its size but a bit expensive. My son and both loved it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from V Good Value light bike I bought this as a present for my son's 6th birthday. We had been eying another more expensive bike but when I saw this it was clear the spec was as good and build quality no less. At £80 cheaper it was nothing the frog does not, and no daft gimmicks that can plague kids bikes of this size. It's suggested for 7+ but with a v low seat stay it's fine on my (just) 6 yr old, who has been riding confidently for two years this hasn't been a problem at all. Two days in and his seat is up 4" to its best position. Great finish and touches, v good saddle. Simple rear mech and proper shifters. Can not complain one bit.
