Car Stereo Fitting
As part of our professional car stereo fitting service, we can install a brand new car stereo into over 95% of current cars.
Factory-fitted car stereos can be replaced with any of our current range of after-market stereos by one of our experienced staff. Replacement facia plates and other accessories will be used to make sure that your car looks as good as it did before the fit took place, only now it will have a better stereo!

How Much Does Car Audio Fitting Cost?
Halfords fitters can professionally install a new car stereo, DAB car radio, in-dash DVD player, car speakers, subwoofers, or amplifier into your vehicle for from €34.99*. To book a fitting, contact your local store .
Our after-market stereos fit over 95% of current UK cars. However, to ensure that the fit is carried out correctly, accessories such as a fascia plate or a wiring harness may be required for some vehicles, at an additional cost.
You can find out if these are required when you add your audio unit to your basket, or you can contact your local store for more help and information.
We offer a 12 month guarantee on all our fits for complete peace of mind. But to avoid concern, you can take your vehicle into any one of our stores where one of our fitters will be able to provide assistance in the event of any problem.
*Bluetooth hands-free kit fitting is €59.99. In a small number of cases, some stereo fits might take over an hour. These may be considered to be a difficult fit and charged at €59.99. This will be at the discretion of the store manager. Please contact your local store for details.

Our qualified fitters are fully IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) certified, and between them, they have completed over 600,000 car audio installations in the last four years.

In-Car Entertainment Advice at Halfords
Halfords stock a wide range of in-car entertainment products, from car audio units to car Bluetooth devices, DVD players to iPod and MP3 connectivity. In store staff can provide valuable on the right technology for your vehicle, and take you through any new products which we have in stock.
If you want to play your MP3 player or iPod through an existing audio unit, our staff can advise you on the car audio accessories you need to connect them. We can set up your new accessories free of charge and demonstrate how they work so you can play the music you want.
DVD players will be set up for free too, making sure that everything works as it should to keep your passengers entertained, however long the journey.
