Terms and Conditions

These are the Terms and Conditions for using Halfords.ie to which all transactions are subject. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time, without notice. Any changes will take effect when posted on this website. By using this website you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

These Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

1. Prices

The prices shown are applicable to reservations made via Halfords.ie. On occasions the prices offered on Halfords.ie may differ to those offered at the same time in Halfords stores. You will always pay the lower price when you collect the goods from your chosen store. Where an ‘in store price’ is shown on the website, this refers to the current price in Halfords stores in the Republic of Ireland.

Special offers and promotions advertised in the press or other media may be excluded unless specifically advertised as available online. All offers are subject to availability and while stocks last.

If an administrative error has resulted in an incorrect price being displayed, we reserve the right to correct that price and notify you accordingly.

All prices are shown in Euros and include VAT where appropriate.

2. Making a reservation

Making a reservation couldn’t be easier. Just follow the simple instructions below. No payment is taken online as you pay for your goods when you collect them from your chosen store.

Items that are in stock will be available for you to collect from only an hour after reservation until the end of the following day. If you select Bike Assembly with a bike reservation your bike will be available for you to collect after 3 working days (excluding the day the reservation was made).

1. Select a product available for Reserve & Collect
2. Click on the Reserve button to add the product to your basket
3. Select any related services required (e.g. Audio Fitting, Bike Assembly)
4. Check stock availability in your local stores
5. Select which store you would like to collect your goods from
6. Enter contact details and confirm your reservation

 

Confirmation of your reservation will be sent to you via email and/or text message using the contact details provided by you. In the event of any problems with your reservation, the store will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible

3. After Sales Service & Guarantees

Where applicable, details of manufacturers guarantees or service arrangements will be provided with the product. After-sales service and warranty/guarantee claims will initially be dealt with by your local Halfords store.

4. Complaints & Queries

Emails are responded to in the order in which they are received.  As we investigate every email before replying there may be a short delay before we respond to your query. If you have an urgent enquiry requiring a same-day response please contact us and one of our Customer Advisors will be happy to offer immediate assistance.

 

Your access to Halfords.ie may occasionally be restricted to allow for the introduction of new products or features, site development, maintenance or repairs. We will attempt to restore the service as soon as we reasonably can.

 

5. Returning Products

Simply return the item(s) to your nearest store with your receipt as proof of purchase for a replacement or refund. Please note: Satellite Navigation systems/units also CANNOT be returned to stores unless they are returned complete in all their original packaging, with ALL security seals still intact. Items returned without proof of purchase may only be exchanged at the Store Manager's discretion.

6. Colours, Specifications, Weights & Sizes

Representations of colour online are as accurate as our photographic and electronic processes will allow. Please note that colour online can also be affected by the calibrations of different output devices.

All weights and sizes are supplied as a guide only and are approximate.

7. Age Restricted Sales

Knives cannot be sold to under 18s, spray paints cannot be sold to under 16s. Due to these constraints the purchasers age may be verified upon collection in store.

8. Safe Shopping Guarantee

Although we endeavour to take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the complete security of any data you disclose online. You accept the inherent security risks of providing personal information and dealing online over the internet and Halfords cannot be held responsible for any breach of security unless it is due to our negligence.

9. Comodo Authentic Site

This website has been issued with a Secure Server digital Certificate by the online Certificate Authority Comodo and has been authorised to display the Comodo Authentic Site seal. The Comodo Digital ID is an electronic licence credential for online business. It confirms that Halfords.ie is a legitimate website and establishes an encrypted communication channel protecting all sensitive and personal information you send over the internet while you are using this website.
