Voodoo Bizango E Mens Electric Mountain Bike – 17”, 19”, 21” Frames
Attack your way up and down the toughest of trails with the assistance of the Voodoo Bizango Electric Mountain Bike.
At its heart is a 400Wh battery providing up to 50 miles of electric drive that can be fully replenished in 6.5 hours. The top of the range Bosch CX motor will power you up hill, while its central position between the tyres improves stability and weight distribution, making the Bizango E a very agile bike. To support the sophisticated motor and battery system, the Bizango comes with a smart control system (BMS) that protects the battery from overheating, short circuiting or overcharging. The battery re-charges in 6.5 hours, and comes with a full 2-year / 500 charge Bosch manufacturer’s warranty.
The electric motor of the Voodoo Bizango is controlled via Bosch’s compact LCD display. The Head Unit has larger front facing buttons to allow for quick setting changes whilst on the move, whilst the crystal clear screen makes for easy reading. The system has 4 varying assistance modes, depending on your requirements, as well as Speed and Mileage data.
Built around a hydro-formed alloy frame there’s strength at its core, while the 10-speed Shimano Deore gearing offers low maintenance and reliable shifting, mile after mile. To keep you out of trouble, there are Shimano hydraulic disc brakes for prompt and controlled stopping power. Completing the package, Rock Shox Judy Suspension and 29”x 2.5” Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres make the Bizango E an exceptional riding experience on any terrain.
BatteryWith a semi-integrated 400Wh Bosch Li-Ion Power Pack mounted to the down-tube, weight is kept central on the Bizango to provide very similar ride characteristics as the non-Electric equivalent bike. The 400Wh battery is very capable of supporting longer rides of up to 50 miles, depending on the assistance required – but due to its quick and easy removal you can always have a spare for those epic or multi-day adventures.
MotorThe Vodoo Bizango E is built around the outstanding platform of the same name, but this time features a top of the range Bosch Performance Line CX, Centre Drive motor. With the motor system and weight positioned around the bottom bracket, weight is kept low and central, making for supreme handling and control.
SensorThe crank based power control in the system is delivered courtesy of a premium Torque sensor, which sensitively eases the power in and out in response to your input, providing a natural ride feel – allowing you to focus on the trail. The quality of the motor system really needs to be tried to be believed, and once you’ve been riding for a while, you’re likely to forget you’re riding an e-bike.

Voodoo Bizango Electric Mountain Bike - 17", 19", 21" Frames is rated out of 5 by 6.Rated 5 out of 5 by BikerMTB from Quality bike and power train! My Voodoo Bizango has now been in regular use since the beginning of last August 2018. To date it’s covered 250 miles of country lanes and off -road use and not missed ‘a beat!’ The Bosch motor system has thus far been smooth and faultless in operation. Five mode settings offer Off, Eco, Tour, eMTB and Turbo. I find Eco suits my needs with Tour to assist in tackling some decent lane gradients. eMTB mode sorts out any serious on/off-road gradients while Turbo gives an outstanding power boost to 15.5mph if required – albeit at the cost of greater battery drain. I have found that a 12 mile on/off-road ride at Eco/Tour mode uses about 30% battery capacity. So a 40 miles total range should be readily achievable. The 29” tyres offer a good lane rolling speed and decent off-road grip. The front suspension is very good to smooth out those road/trails bumpy bits and the effective hydraulic braking system instills confidence at all times. Initially I found that the ten speed gearing takes a little getting used to. The gear change is smooth enough - albeit a little clunky- but I put this down to using a direct drive system. Also, imo, there are too many low gears – although this is, of course, good for steep climbs outs, conversely it’s a tad irritating on-road where I find starting off on level ground in 1st gear way too low and find 2nd or even 3rd gear more preferable without straining the motor. Personally speaking if you intend to do e-bike off-road a direct drive system is probably the best way to go. And a good reliable power-train and durable, sturdy frame will only be achieved with a more expensive outlay than the budget-priced types! The Bosch battery comes with a 2 year warranty and is rated at probably the most advanced of its kind at present. Treated with respect this battery should give good reliable service well passed its warranty period. 1) Before the first ride fully charge the battery. 2) After each ride allow battery to cool then fully charge. 3) Do not leave battery in a cold shed or garage especially during winter. Store indoors away from heat sources at around 15C minimum. 4) If the battery is not going to be used for a few months or more discharge down to around 55-60% of full charge. The battery has to be pressed firmly home onto mount with a ‘click.’ Two keys (1 spare) is supplied to release. However I have found the key and lock operation is not smooth to use and a shot of GT85 helps here. My Voodoo Bizango is a head turner and I have received passing favourable comments. And thus far I am well satisfied with its performance!Date published: 2018-10-28Rated 5 out of 5 by snake15 from What more can I say it is a Fantastic Bike . I have now been riding this bike for five months. It is well made and feels strong .So comfortable to ride the breaks and suspension are brilliant. I am a fifty year old male 6’1 19st .I bought it to get fit as well as to save petrol and I have done both . You can press the button to turn it off if you want a challenging ride but the battery is there when you need it . There are several settings for how much effort you want to put in .Before I had to get off on my manual bike and walk up the hill . Now I can cycle up there no problem. So far I have cycled 82 miles . I recommend this bike . I certainly would buy another Voodoo E Bike in the future.Date published: 2018-10-23Rated 5 out of 5 by Hayser from worth the cash bought this to get me out more and i have been blown away by the performance of this bike. even on a steep hill using the turbo setting i can still pedal at 15 mph easy. glad i never went for a cheaper bike and the bosch system is one of the best on the market. using eco is also very good assistance on slight inclines. not a cheap bike but the build quality is excellent. the only thing i changed on it was the seat and i can now cycle for hours in comfort.Date published: 2018-08-01Rated 5 out of 5 by makovi from Great e-hardtail I decided to get an e-bike mostly for commuting (20km each way) and occasional mtb ride. After a week of research this was the best bike you can get for £2000 (cheaper with BC discount). The only other bikes I was considering before I bought Bizango were Cube - lower specs for £2k and didn’t really like the look of them. Trek Powerfly 5 which is almost identical specification but is £700 more I’ve only done few commutes so far but already managed to take 10min of my average time as I have few hills on the way and arrived less tired. I’m also hoping this e-bike would be the best way for getting to work on a snow day :) So far I would definitely recommend the bike, only time will tell how parts hold up. Only let down on such a well specs bike with modern trail geometry are cheap looking 2 fingers brake levers but I’m afraid other brands are the same. Shame Halfords didn’t go for newer Deore brake levers. Love the colour, tyres are spot on - tried to fit Schwalbe Marathon Plus MTB but didn’t look right so I’m gonna stick with Nobby Nic for now. Drivetrain is all you need, brakes seems ok so far with 180mm rotors. Personally I might play around with cockpit set as I’m used to more XC set up than modern trail set up. Will probable try longer stem (70-90mm) and narrower bars (700mm)Date published: 2018-04-12Rated 5 out of 5 by Humidor from Gifts E-bike Not been cycling for years and have put on more pound than I'd like. Hoping this will get me back in the saddle. Now mudied and cold after first ride but really impressed how this helped me keep up with my younger riding partner. Looks good, performed well, easy to use.Just had to make sure I was in the correct gear, and it helped power up a Vmuudy hill in snow. Looking forward to many more rides.Date published: 2018-03-18Rated 5 out of 5 by SundanceKid from Well now I'm all mudied up! Going through the woods out of gear and hit the slime......do i want a free face-pack?..... No, so i hit the power button and the resulting torque powered me out of the proverbial mire. There's no way legs alone could have done that. So happy with the quality of this product, you could spend a grand more and get worse. There are other rivals I tested but this one felt real.Date published: 2018-03-15
