Carrera Parva Mens Hybrid Bike - Blue, 16", 18, 20" Frames is rated out of 5 by 7.Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from Tyres for Carrera Parva Mens Hybrid I recently purchased the Carrera Parva Hybrid bicycle from Halfords. Whilst I am pleased with the bike and the service from Halfords, not until later when I thought I would like a different tyre for the bike did I realize that there is a very, very limited choice for tyres with the wheel size of this bike. Even from Halfords themselves. Had I known I would not have bought the bike, even though I am happy with the bike itself. To really enjoy riding your bike, you must have the tyres you like.Date published: 2018-10-12Rated 4 out of 5 by Carpenteire from Good quality and value for money I upgraded from a pretty basic (Apollo) mountain bike to this hybrid bike I have the Carrera Parva a week now and I love it! The components are decent quality, nice alloy frame, good tyres and nice gear change. I found the handlebar position a little low so I purchased a stem riser and I'm very happy with the ride position now. I can't fault this bike, but if I had to find fault I do find it a little heavy considering it's an alloy frame- this bike weighs only 1kg less than my previous steel-framed Apollo mtb, but it is far superior in terms of quality and build. I bought the bike built, but tweaked the fit myself afterwards. Overall I thin this bike represents fantastic value for money when bought on sale.Date published: 2018-09-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Hutman from Parva blue Excellent bike and fantastic advice and service Staff very helpful and attentive to my needsDate published: 2018-09-05Rated 4 out of 5 by glenntheupsetter from carrera parva 20" hybrid Brought this bike via the cycle to work scheme in halfords oldbury west midlands and will say yhe service I received today was great served by Arjan I think was really helpful so was chuffed. Now for the review I purchased the 20" in a blue color. Used the click and collect via the website the bike was pre buit and ready to collect it cost £180 which was a great price. I had additional slime put in wheels and a pannier rack and sks beaver tails mud guards (these are the only ones that fit) so fully prepared for commuting all weathers. The bike rides very smooth and the road and the 21 gears are a must the bike is a bit on the heavy side but is very smooth and seems quite quick with the 27.5 inch wheels (650b). I gave it a test run on the road and then on to a dirt track at the local woods and handled bot with ease. The tyres on it are ok and seem roll with less resistance and was quite good on dirt track if you wanted to upgrade you could go for some mtb tyres or slick depends on your riding would highly recommend this bike its cheap cheerfull and seems sturdy and will do the job for adults and teensDate published: 2018-09-02Rated 5 out of 5 by surreymick from Good bike, Especially at £100 off. Very happy with the bike, picked it up today from the New Malden store. Had it built in store. I say built, I half expected the bike to be set up. Issues when I got outside. First thing, brake pads squealing very badly, pads not toed in correctly. Sorted that myself. A few yards up the road, chain rubbing on large chainring, sorted that myself. Tyres felt a little soft, when at home checked the pressure, should be between 40 and 65 psi, these were around 30 psi front and rear. The front and rear reflectors were fitted, the front reflector was almost horizontal. Repsoitioned both, they are now facing as they should. The bell was out of reach of my hand, couldn't reach it without letting go of the hand grips, sorted that myself. These are things I would expect the mechanics that build the bikes should be getting right, after all, you could be totally clueless and buying a bike for a child and putting your faith in them to set the bike up so it is safe. Needless to say, I won't be going back for the 6 week check. If you know your way around a bike, buy one of these, take it home in the box and put it together yourself.Date published: 2018-08-05Rated 5 out of 5 by BikerPatti from Well made My last bike was more of a budget bike and I found out you get what you pay for. So I decided to spend a bit more for a brand which appears to have a very good reputation. And it was worth the bit of extra money. The bike looks and feels very well made, it feels good quality and everything works well. I love how the gears work by using your thumbs to change up and down. The only negative I have is the seat feels a little firm, but I'll probably get used to that.Date published: 2018-05-09Rated 5 out of 5 by Dubs4ever from Great bike Great bike for the price, really good on the roads. So much easier to cycle than my other bikeDate published: 2018-05-03
