    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit The cable was used as a replacement rear brake cable for my nephew's bike. He's a big lad for his age and so is his bike, but this cable was the ideal length without any alteration required. Easily fitted, universal end caps and as it's pre stretched, there will be little adjustment needed after use. I have no complaints about this item, and while it's price was the selling factor for me, I place it on a par with much more expensive replacement cables. A good buy as far as I am concerned.

You also need a good pair of side cutters to get a clean cut. My biggest gripe is the price. On your web site £1.49. to going into the store and it costing £4.99. This really is disgraceful.

    Rated 1 out of 5 by from Far too expensive. I drove across town to buy some brake and gear cables, but left the store when I saw the price. I can see no way that thin a piece of wire with metal ends fixed to it can cost even half what Halfords are asking. Sure enough, I looked online and found two brake cables and two gear cables, as a bundle, for a little over half the price of one cable from Halfords. I'm sure Clarks make a fine product, but I won't ever be paying a four or five fold mark up for them.
