Never Beaten On Price

At Halfords we strive to offer our customers products and services at competitive prices across our stores, garages, and mobile vans.

To uphold our price promise to not be beaten on price, we actively monitor the prices offered by our competitors and adjust our own pricing accordingly.

If you find a cheaper price, including fitting and/or delivery, we'll match it in our stores or garages, and if you find it after you've purchased from us, we'll refund the difference within 14 days of receipt of your goods, providing it is within policy.

How it works

We’ll price match any identical branded item we sell against any retailer registered in the UK, even if the product is on offer. We’ll even price match our fitted own brand bulbs, wiper blades and batteries if you find a comparable fitted product cheaper.

If you find a product or service at a cheaper price, here is what you need to do.

  • Go into your local store or garage.
  • Let our colleague know the product or service code
  • Let us know where you found it

We will need to confirm the price of the product or service so please make sure you have a link, dated screenshot or a written quote available.

Already bought your product/service?

If you see the price of your product cheaper with another retailer within 7 days of buying your product or service, we will price match and refund you the difference.

  • For purchases made in our stores or garages, please pop back in with your receipt along with a link, dated screenshot or a written quote of the retailer where you have found the cheaper price. Providing the claim is within policy, the store or garage will price match and refund the difference.
  • If you made your purchase online, please visit our contact us page and speak to one of our advisors. If the claim is within our policy, we will refund you the difference and it will appear in your bank account within 7-14 working days.
Price Match Promise
  • If a product, the competitor’s item must be identical (colour, size, brand etc).
  • If a service, our comparison will compare the total price for the job to be completed after Halfords and competitor discounts, including parts and labour, not individual line items.
  • For products that include fitting or delivery, we will only match against the competitor’s equivalent fully fitted or delivered price and the date in which a product can be delivered, or a service carried out, should also be comparable.
  • For tyres, wiper blades, bulbs & batteries, if we do not have a brand offered by a competitor then we will match against own brand products as long as they have the same specification (e.g. size, guarantee or suitability for vehicle) and are fully fitted.
  • If a product, the competitor’s item must be in stock for home delivery, or collection within a 10 mile radius of a Halfords retail store or autocentre/garage.  If a service, the competitor’s service must be available to be carried out at a location within a 10 mile radius of a Halfords retail store or autocentre/garage.  If the service involves our mobile fitting service coming to you, the competitor must be available to carry out the service at the same location.
  • The competitor’s price must include delivery and, if applicable, any fitting charges. (For tyres, fitting must include valve, balance & environmental disposal)
  • The competitor’s price must be publicly advertised online and cannot include any membership/personal discounts, fleet, trade, business to business, or affiliate deals, such as but not limited to Groupon, Costco, Blue Light Card etc.
  • We cannot match bulk promotional offers such as buy one get one free.
  • The competitor must be based and registered in the UK and sell direct to customers (no auction or marketplace retailers). The competitor must sell through a distribution channel which is authorised by the original manufacturer or licensor and the competitor’s product must be designated for sale in the UK.
  • No other promotional offers or vouchers can be used on top of a price match.
  • We will match within 7 days of purchase or booking as shown on your receipt or invoice. This will be by way of a refund of the difference in price or, if matching in store/autocentre by providing a discount at the time of purchase.
  • We will match in our stores/garages if our online price is lower than our store/garage price. This applies to Click & Collect orders only for in store, not delivery.
  • We will match in store if our online price is lower than our store price. This applies to Click & Collect orders only, not delivery.
  • We will not match against clearance, closing down sales or specialist retailers such as market stalls.
  • When making a claim, you must be able to demonstrate:
    • That the product is shown at a lower price on a competitor’s website, and that it is currently available for delivery or collection within the relevant radius set out above; or
    • That the product is available at a lower price in a competitor’s store or garage and that it is currently available for purchase and, if applicable, fitting, within the relevant radius set out above; or
    • That a dated written quotation from a competitor’s garage located in the radius set out above shows a lower total price than we offer and that it is currently available to be booked within the same availability as we can offer and, if attending your location, at the same location.
  • In order to change the price of items bought on finance, the original agreement must be cancelled and a new one created at the lower price. The new agreement must still meet the minimum value and item requirements for finance.
  • Price Match is subject to verification that the competitor is a legitimate trader.
  • Only one claim may be submitted with regard to each purchase and is eligible for our price guarantee.
  • We reserve the right to modify or cancel this offer and the terms and conditions at any time in our sole discretion.
