The Halfords Standard Stick On Mirror Glass SR988 offers a quick, easy, hassle free solution for a damaged or missing door mirror glass.

The replacement mirror glass is simply stuck over the existing broken glass using a heavy-duty adhesive pad. In the case of a missing mirror glass the replacement can be stuck directly onto the original backing plate; as long as there is enough surface area remaining. If you do not have enough surface area to stick the door mirror onto; you may want to consider fitting a backing plate mirror glass instead. • If your original mirror glass had a heated function this will still work as the broken mirror beneath the replacement will heat through to the new mirror glass. Please note that it will take a slightly longer time to heat through to the new mirror glass

• Fitting Instructions
• Safety first! Always wear protective gloves when working with broken glass
• Try to avoid fitting in very cold or very warm conditions
• Never remove glass unnecessarily - the mirror glass is designed to sit over the top of a broken mirror glass
• Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe place and you have plenty of access around the door mirror that you are working on
• Carefully remove the new mirror glass from the packaging and check that the shape is correct for the vehicle, you may also need to check that there is enough surface area for the new mirror glass to adhere to
• Practice lining up the mirror glass to fit over the broken glass or onto the door mirror assembly if the original glass is missing
• Once you are happy that you can line the glass up correctly peel back the protective backing paper from the adhesive pad, gently press the mirror against the surface starting in the centre. Take care not to press too firmly
• Once the mirror is in place and secure you will need to clean the mirror glass
• Make sure that you check the position of your mirror from the drivers seat, as fitting a new mirror may mean that the position has changed
• To clean your Halfords Standard Stick On Mirror Glass SR988 use a glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Alternatively, you can use glass cleaner wipes. We would advise against using abrasive cleaning solutions, car shampoo, household cleaners or car polish.
