A worn chain can cause significant damage to your bike sprockets, cassette, and other drivetrain components, which can be costly to repair. With the Chain Wear Checker, you’ll know exactly when to replace your chain, preventing unnecessary wear on other vital parts of your bike.
For 5-10 speed chains, replace your chain when the wear reaches 0.75%. For 11-13 speed chains, replace when it hits 0.5%. If the wear exceeds these measurements, it’s a good idea to replace the cassette at the same time to ensure the new chain doesn’t slip.
