As a business, we've worked really hard to ensure that every customer receives the highest standards of service. We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised by the judges.

With a heritage that spans more than three decades, across a growing network of over 600 garages nationwide, we are very proud of our colleagues who work tirelessly to ensure our customers experience a friendly, expert service.

Our Commitment to Quality

Whether you visit us for an MOT, Service, Tyres or Repair work, our IMI accredited technicians carry out mandatory checks, to ensure work is completed to the highest of standards. We conduct a mystery shopping service and random checks on our technicians' work are carried out a minimum, once a week. We've also trained our leadership team to carry out spot checks on completed work.

We've invested heavily in training and skills

Halfords Autocentre is an IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) Approved Training Centre and Recognised Training Employer.

We've recognised that there is a national shortage of qualified mechanics and a big skills gap in the industry - as a result, we've heavily invested in apprenticeships. We have four academies and our apprentice numbers are growing year on year. After two years on the scheme, our apprentice's will become fully qualified Level 3 Technicians and work full time on cars, in our autocentres.

To help future proof the industry, we've also invested in Hybrid Electric Vehicle trained technicians. With over 350 hybrid-trained technicians in our garages, we are leading the way in helping the industry upskill, in response to rapidly changing car technology.
