To level up your protection, you can choose between three monthly plans to unlock more capabilities. In this article, we’ll explain each subscription tier and their features.
Solo Plan
Free
You don’t have to pay for a subscription plan if you don’t want to – the iQ can be used on its own as a premium-quality dash cam with a front and cabin view to give you that extra peace of mind and security.
The plans also don’t require an ongoing commitment. Say you’re going on holiday, and while the iQ on its own is great for day-to-day driving, you’d like the extra security of a Protect Plan while you leave your car in the airport car park.
You can opt-in for one month to enable a wider range of features, meaning you can keep a closer eye on your vehicle, then downgrade to Solo again once you’re back. It couldn’t be easier to fit the iQ around your journeys.

The mid-tier Protect Plan unlocks more of the smart functionalities, to keep you and your vehicle secure.

If you’ve parked your car somewhere unfamiliar, it can be daunting to think of leaving it unprotected. SmartSense Parking uses AI to monitor movement around your vehicle, so nothing gets too close without you knowing. You can adjust the parameters on each side of your vehicle for the ultimate personalised shield, and iQ will alert you if it detects any unusual activity.
If you’re ever involved in a collision or need to prove your case for an insurance claim, you’ll want as much information as possible. RoadWatch AI uses innovative technology to track the speed and trajectory of other vehicles on the road in past footage, so you’ll have detailed recorded evidence if you ever need it.
Emergency SOS is an innovative safety feature, designed to get you help fast if you’re ever in an accident. It automatically shares both your location and any medical details – like your blood type – with the emergency services if you’re unresponsive.
Witness Mode keeps you safe when you’re driving alone or feeling intimidated, sending real-time video & audio to a chosen loved one so they can see and hear what you do. Just say “Start Witness Mode” to begin sending live footage.
From a mechanic to your kids, there are times you won’t be around when your car’s being driven. Keep an eye on what’s happening with Guardian Mode. You can set parameters for speed and location, and if they’re exceeded, iQ will notify you immediately so you can check the live feed to see for yourself.
You access these features through the iQ app, which gives you an easy-to-navigate view of your dash cam’s functions.

The top-tier Protect Plus Plan unlocks every innovative feature of the iQ Smart Dash Cam, for unbeatable safety and security. You’ll get all the benefits of the Protect Plan:

As well as these, you’ll unlock extra capabilities of LiveView – not only can you access your cameras in real time, but you can also scroll back through your video history to look at earlier footage.
You’ll get real-time event alerts to update you on any issues as they happen, and automated incident backup automatically saves any tagged footage of incidents or collisions to the cloud so you can be sure you’ve got any recorded evidence saved securely.
If your vehicle is driven by more than just you, Protect Plus allows you to create up to 5 user accounts, so you can customise your settings depending on who’s driving. That means features tailored to whoever’s at the wheel, from different nominated witnesses to your own parameters for SmartSense Parking.
